	Log wall construction begins May 25, 1999. 3"x 6" uprights are placed every 8' or so and along side each window and door. Corner posts are 8"x 8" solid White Cedar. Ron & Susan chose Hartman Log Home Builders to quickly put their home under roof.

	The wall of the walk out basement will be 2"x 6" stud construction, covered with 8" White Cedar shiplap log siding.

	A strip of sealant foam is placed on top of each tongue.

	A bead of Sikkaflex caulking is placed along the outside edge of the outside tongue and across the end of each log at the upright or corner post. Both the sealant foam (above) and caulking are supplied with the kit.

	Each log is pre-cut, lettered and positioned according to construction drawings prepared by B&H Cedar Log Homes. One of Steve Hartman's workers is shown sliding a log into place between the uprights.

	Here a log is screwed to the log beneath with 10" OlyLog fasteners and then "toe nailed" into the uprights and corner posts with 5" spiral barn nails.
