The first floor walls below are solid log. The second floor walls are log siding over 2" x 6" studs. Note the identical appearance.


A modular, home with log siding. The photos below are of a modular home, delivered without the usual vinyl siding; the sun room was part of the modular order. The log siding was purchased by and installed by a local carpenter who also stick built the garage on site. The log siding is finished with 2 coats of Sikkens log home stain.
The 2 1/2 car garage was stick built on site. A front porch will be added later.	Interior wall covered with log siding and finished with Sikkens.

The unique feature of end matched siding is that each piece “inter-locks with the pieces around it. This means that you can hide the nails by toe nailing into the tongues. With ship lap siding, it is necessary to face nail; therefore, the nails will show. To keep the cost of the end matched siding as low as possible, 15% - 20% of the pieces may be less than 4’ with the shortest being 24”. The shorter pieces are of course used between windows and doors and at end of a “run.”

Northern White Cedar Chair Rail Paneling and Molding

Otherwise known as Wainscott.

This Cedar Wainscott is reversible. The front is edge and center bead (shown to the left) and the back is vee jointed. The dimensions are 3/8" x 3 1/4" x 31 3/4".. It takes 4 boards wide to run one linear foot. This product is available cut to length as above or in random lengths of 6' - 10'. Again, prices are subject to change without notice.

The cut to length (31 3/4") price is $1.22 per piece.
The random length (6' - 10') is $.42 per linear foot.
