Are you working with a lender that
knows how to ask the right questions?
Sure ...any lender can pre-qualify your or
check your credit score. They might even offer pre-approval for their
loan. But, if the lender only finances 1 or 2 log homes a year, will they
remember to ask critical questions that impact log home construction? Does
the lender understand the unique nature of log home construction loans?
Are the other banks and lenders asking the important questions that we ask every
day?
● Does the loan officers know if their underwriters will restrict the appraisal to exclusively log home comparables?
● How many lenders will ask about your milling deposits?
● Will they ask if your manufacturer needs funding for the log kit before it is delivered to the job site/?
● Can you depend on other loan officers to update you during the loan process?
● Do other loan officers solely specialize in log home and timber financing?
