HERE IS HOW THIS WORKS:   In an effort to make sure everyone understands the list of materials, the list for the Winchester II is free - and always will be.  Please download the appropriate file (or both if you prefer) for the Winchester II, study it and contact B and H at info@cedar-log-homes.com if you experience difficulty or have questions. As an aid to understanding, I have priced each item in the Winchester list.  Prices will not be included in other lists because, as we all know, prices are dependent on time and location.  The cost for each list is $19.50.  Ordering instructions can be found below.

ABOUT THE TWO WINCHESTER II FILES BELOW:
The Excel File: If you can handle this file, this is the one you want. The items and quantities are entered in the spread sheet.  All you will need to do is print and deliver the first two pages to your local supplier and have them write in the current prices.  With this in hand, you enter each price in the spread sheet only once.  The spread sheet then calculates the cost of individual delivery packages and the total cost of materials for the weather tight structure.
The PDF format: This is the option for those who cannot use the Excel spread sheet.  To download this file you will need a PDF reader.  If you do not have one, you will be prompted to download a copy at no cost - please do so.  Your output will be a fill-in-the-blanks form.  Again, print the first two pages and take them to your local supplier for pricing.  With these prices, a pen or pencil and a calculator, you can then determine the cost of each delivery package and the total cost of materials for the weather tight structure.

WHY IS THE WEATHER TIGHT MATERIALS LIST IMPORTANT?  This list, when priced, together with the kit price, foundation cost and labor cost (typically $11 - $14 per square foot for weather tight construction) tells you how much it will cost to put the house under roof.  It will also be possible to better compare B and H's kit price to those log home companies that sell a complete weather tight package.
